GOD FULFILLS HIS PROMISES

Long before Jacob and all his family moved to Egypt because of famine, God told Abraham that his descendants would be strangers in a foreign country and that they would be enslaved and oppressed for 400 years (Genesis 15:13). All along, God knew what would happen to the future of Abraham's descendants. When Jacob and all his family moved to Egypt, there were seventy of them, including Joseph and his family. But by the time they left Egypt after 430 years, they were about 2 million, including women and their children (Exodus 12:40, Exodus 12:37). The Egyptians became afraid of them because of their population that they made them slaves. God used Moses to lead them out of slavery from Egypt and led them through the desert to get to the land that God had promised to Abraham. And in that promised land, Canaan, they became a great nation.

God's faithfulness to fulfill His promise to Abraham never wavered. He fulfilled his promise to Abraham through his children, from Isaac to Jacob and Jacob to his children. God promised Abraham that his descendants would be a blessing to all the families of the earth, and that began when our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world. Our Lord Jesus came from the line of Judah, who was one of the sons of Jacob. And God is still fulfilling His promise to Abraham even in our time. It was through our Lord Jesus Christ that forgiveness of sin and salvation are possible to all humankind. God uses us, his children, to let the world know that he is the only savior of this world. God is always faithful to fulfill His promises, and everything that He says, He will do.

No matter what is going on in our lives today, we must be encouraged that God knows our future, and His promises to us will be fulfilled. God will be faithful to us until the end. We may be going through a tough time at this time, but always take courage because God knows what we are going through. In His timing, everything will work out according to His plan in our lives. Let us trust God's faithfulness as we go through our daily struggles. As we trust God, He will guide and strengthen us to go through our challenges.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God knows my future? Do I believe that God is faithful to fulfill His promise in my life? Do I trust God in all of my struggles?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that you know my future and that you are faithful to fulfill all your promises. Please help me to continue to trust in you and fix my eyes on you. Please help me now as I go through my day today. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
