I AM FIRMLY ROOTED

Being a born-again Christian is not a one-time event, but it is an ongoing event in our life. We become new as a person because we live for Christ Jesus, not for ourselves, which is not emphasized to us when we become born-again. We usually hear that we are saved, forgiven, received eternal life, or God's acceptance. But true born again means that we are rooted, built up, and established in our faith in Him. It means that Jesus Christ has become the very foundation of our life. Everything we do and say reflects our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. As a result, our attitude and behavior change for the honor, respect, and love that we have for our God. In every situation we face, we face it according to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

As the tree gets its nutrients from its roots, we also get our spiritual nourishment from our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot grow spiritually apart from being with Christ Jesus. If we do not pray, read the Bible, and go to church, we will not know how to live our lives according to our faith in God. And if we are not living for God, we are not living as born-again Christians. It is time for us to live for God and not for ourselves. If we want to experience the true blessing of being rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to grow our life in Him. We need to live for Him in everything that we do.

If we are struggling to live for Him, there is only one solution, and that is to ask our Lord Jesus to change the attitude of our hearts. We need to ask Him to give us the strength and the courage to surrender everything to Him. Let us live for Him without any reservation, and we will experience the true blessing of being born-again Christian.

Ask yourself these questions: How should I live as a born-again Christian? What should I do to grow in my spiritual walk with God? Am I willing to surrender everything to God without any hesitancy or reservation?

Write down all the worries you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that I am a born-again Christian through faith in my Lord Jesus Christ. Would you please help me to live for you? Please help me let go of the control and surrender everything to you. Please help me respond to any circumstances that I will face today according to my faith in you. Let my attitude and behavior change for my love and respect for you. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
