OUR GOD IS OUR EVERLASTING HOPE

It is a blessing to know that we will always have hope no matter what happens in this world. God will take care of us until the end, as Psalm 71:14 says, "As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more." And as we put our trust in the Lord, we are guaranteed that He will take care of us; as a result, we will praise Him more and more. Psalm 71:15-18 describes how the Psalmist praises God, "My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long—though I know not how to relate them all. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come." Telling others about the great things that God has done in our lives is a part of praising Him.

God calls us to share our faith with others so that those who do not know Him will come to know Him, and the best way to do it is to tell others about how God blesses us. If we think of one thing that God has blessed us yesterday, last week, or last month, are we willing to tell them to others? Every day, when we wake up in the morning, there are many reasons we can thank and praise Him for. One of the motivations that I have to tell others about the goodness of God is that He has been good to me personally. Through my problems and struggles, God has been faithful to me, even in my failures and sins. We all go through challenges in life, but God is always with us. This morning, when I woke up, the screen of my phone would not turn on, so I have an unexpected situation that I need to deal with today. Maybe some of you have encountered unexpected situations, but let us be encouraged, knowing that God is our hope.

We will never lose hope because our Lord Jesus is always with us. Let us not be hesitant to tell others about the goodness of God in our lives, for it is a part of praising Him. God wants us to tell others about Him because He wants others to know Him.

Questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully, meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you.) Can I think of at least one thing that God has blessed me with yesterday, last week, or last month? Am I willing to tell others about how God blessed me? What is God teaching me from today's devotion?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, please remind me of your goodness in my life that I may praise you and declare your goodness to others. Thank you that I have always hope because you are always with me. There is not a moment that I am alone. You are always right beside me. Please guide me and give me the strength and wisdom to deal with my unexpected situations. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
